Diagrams

A picture can speak a thousand words.
Diagrams combine those words with numbers to show the scale of a situation.

Any article is merely a vehicle to convey a journalist's opinion. Authors often cite other articles conveying the same opinion from another journalist, and call that research. Critical thinking should implore you to seek out quantitative information over qualitative information - the presence of numbers shows the writer has done real research.
