Generate phrases from telephone numbers.
This handy little tool takes a telephone number and, using the letters on a standard telephone keypad, generates the phrases that match the number.
The phrases found are then ranked using letter-pair frequencies to sort the better phrases (those which form words) from the random letter patterns.
Of course, not everyone can have a phone number that matches a memorable, word-based phrase.
Numbers that contain a 0 or 1 will not generate word-based phrases because 0 and 1 do not have letters associated with them on the keypad.
Numbers that contain the same digit repeated more than twice may not produce a memorable phrase because the range of letters becomes restricted.
Numbers that contain the digits 3, 4, 6 and/or 8 have a better chance of generating a word-based phrase because these digits correspond with vowels.
