MyFinds GPX Processor

A mini-app to process the MyFinds GPX file from geocaching.com to analyse in Google Earth.

The processor makes a few changes to the standard GPX file you get from the Pocket Query tool:

Orders your finds (use the tour feature in Google Earth to play through your finds in chronological order).
Applies the date of your find to the geocache waypoint (use the timeline feature in Google Earth to see how your finds have built up over time).
Changes the waypoint description from the cache description to your log entry (click on the geocache to view your comment on your find).
Removes notes & DNFs to leave only finds.
Moves locationless geocaches to the location where you logged your 'find'.

It's very simple to use.

An 'open file' dialog prompts you to select the GPX file.
A 'save file' dialog then asks you where you want to save the output (KML) file.
Then open the KML file in Google Earth.

You'll need a recent version of Java installed to run it.

Trouble-Shooting

Problem: The application doesn't start - the browser displays the contents of the .jnlp file.

Cause: You have disabled Java in your browser.

Solution: Right-click this link and save the file to your computer. Then run that file from your computer (double-click in Windows explorer).
Problem: Your operating system asks you which application to run the .jnlp file with.

Cause: You don't have Java installed.

Solution: Download Java from here and try running the file again.
